I’m not a big fan of turtlenecks.  They cut off my already short neck, making me appear neckless and on top of that, I sort of feel like I’m being choked.  But when I saw the resurgence of turtlenecks this season, they looked so chic that it had even me reconsidering this once fashion foe.

I prefer the short turtlenecks (often called high necks) to the full blown, up-to-your-chin versions.  And for moments like this when I want to partake in a trend but know I probably won’t wear it past this season, I look to the super trendy and also super affordable online shops like Missguided.  This is where I found the high neck midi dress I’m wearing here for $10!  Such a great layering piece for Fall and Winter.

I layered a fringy, waterfall cardigan in an aztec print over it to add movement, volume and texture to the understated dress.  And, my nails in Essie’s Butler Please provide the perfect little pop of color to this black and white look.
