Chicago has hit that dreaded 90 degree weather and it’s been pretty miserable being outdoors.  When it’s this hot out, all I want to wear is a silky, flowy sheath.  Nothing tight fitting or any form of denim is bearable in this weather.  I’ve been wearing this Aritzia racerback number a lot this summer.  I’ve worn this to dinner with blank ankle boots in the Spring and it works just as well with flip flops on a muggy summer day.

  1. Wow pretty dress. I also like black color frock very much. You look also awesome here.

  2. Love this dress and love the new look!!! Makes me want to refresh my own. I also love the grey/white color palette, always so crisp and classic for fall/winter. xo

  3. Pretty dress. Love the new look of your site. I like your name Jiye as is :) (not meant to offend)

  4. Jessamyn: Thanks girl! It’s such a great summer dress!

Hana: You should! They are the dream team!

Viv: Thanks Viv! No offense taken. I contemplated going by Gia for like 10 years! haha. I noticed that people I met just would assume my name was Gia when I introduced myself as Jiye (sounds close enough) but then they would get so confused when I would have to spell it out. Or when they would see it written, I’ve gotten called everything under the sun. For the blog and events, I end up meeting a lot of people and networking a lot and it just takes an unnecessary 5 minute awkward conversation out of the picture. I feel like people that have easy names to pronounce have a hard time understanding what a pain it is. Hope this makes sense.

  5. You look gorgeous, and I love the location this shoot was at too!
